I have been envolved in photography since the age of 10, but really began to be serious after majoring in fine arts a VCU. The programs, while being concentrated in painting and printmaking, taught the elements of composition that translates easily into the photographic medium. Whether in portraiture, landscape or natural still-life, I try to get to the essence of the subject, seeking to focus on that which makes the subject make its own statement.
